About The Chalet – The Layout
The chalet is situated on the outskirts of the village and faces south with spectacular views down the valley and to the mountains which border Italy. These mountains are called the St. Bernard and are famous for the dog with the same name. The chalet also has unobstructed views of the village. The only sounds you will hear will be the village church bell and in summer you will hear the cow bells!
In order to take advantage of the beautiful views, the living area of the chalet is on the upstairs floor. The upstairs consists of an open-plan kitchen, dining area and a sitting area which has a fire place. There are two French windows which lead out onto a balcony which wraps around two sides of the chalet. The balcony which catches the sun all day is a wonderful place to eat out in the summer months. There is an outdoor table and chairs. There is a bathroom upstairs with a bath, basin and wc. In addition there is a laundry room with a washing machine and drier.
Downstairs consists of three bedrooms, the largest of which has an ensuite bathroom with a bath, basin and wc. The bathroom can also be accessed from the other rooms. Two of the bedrooms face south and both have French windows which lead out onto the ground level outside. The views from the two bedrooms are again spectacular.
We regret that we do not allow pets. There is also a lockable garage.
About the chalet – The Accommodation
The chalet can sleep 4-6 adults and two children. The bedrooms consist of two double rooms, one with a king size bed and ensuite bathroom, and the other with twin beds which can be pushed together to make a queen size bed if necessary. The third bedroom downstairs is smaller and has bunk beds for two children. The sofa upstairs is a pullout sofa bed and can sleep two people comfortably. The bed can be rolled up during the day.
The chalet is fully equipped with bed linen and towels. All the beds have duvets. The kitchen is also fully equipped……there is an electric oven with four hobs and a refrigerator with small freezer compartment. Please note that there is no microwave oven. There is also a radio and CD player but no TV. There is a telephone in the chalet.
